The goal of the Mark Mettrick Youth Soccer Day Camp is to help youth soccer players learn the game of soccer in a fun-filled environment. The camp recognizes that young players of different ages have very separate demands depending on their age and level of development. The Soccer Camp staff will run game-oriented sessions that incorporate fun and skill development and are designed for specific age groups.
Ages 5-8 - Junior Soccer Fundamentals
All sessions will be FUN, and each day a specific skill will be emphasized. At the end of the day, 3 vs. 3 and 4 vs. 4 games will be played to encourage multiple touches of the ball in real game situations.
Ages 9-14 - Intermediate/Advanced Soccer
The development of technical skills is still the primary focus with an introduction of individual and team tactics based on the level of players. At the end of the day, 4 vs. 4 and 7 vs. 7 games will be played to reflect the particular session taught.
Special Team Camps
Use our camp to prepare your team for the upcoming season. The team camp will run separately from the regular camp and will be designed around the needs of each team. Each team will be guaranteed a licensed coach for the week and will have a specific week-long program that incorporates team tactics as well as individual player development.
