Summer Loyola University Identification Camp

Overview

The College Identification Camp is a two day camp that is designed for High School age players who have aspirations to compete at the college level and/or are considering Loyola University Maryland Soccer as their college choice. The camp will provide a challenging training environment and give players the opportunity to experience an NCAA Division 1 training program. The camp will include training sessions run by the Loyola University Maryland Mens Soccer Coaching staff, a recruiting information session, a student athlete academic lecture and competitive small and full sided games. Players will be evaluated by the Loyola University Men's Soccer programs coaching staff.

1:30 - 2:00 pm DIVISION 1 RECRUITMENT INFO. SESSION (will receive NCAA packets) and  DIVISION 1 STUDENT ATHLETE ACADEMIC LECTURE

Goalkeepers

Goalkeepers will be trained separately in the practice sessions by Steve Pfeil, the current goalkeeper coach here at Loyola University Maryland. Pfeil is a former U-20 US national team, Division I college, and professional goalkeeper with extensive coaching experience at the youth club, high school, and ODP levels in Maryland. In the full sided games goalkeepers will be evaluated by Coach Pfeil and the Loyola Mens Soccer coaching staff.

Residential

Residential campers will be housed in the air conditioned dormitories of Loyola University Maryland . Meals will be supplied by the extensive dining facilities at Loyola University Maryland. Roommate requests will be honored whenever possible. Remember to bring a ball, or you may purchase an Adidas soccer ball at registration (cost $30.00), a week's supply of shorts, socks, shin guards, outdoor and indoor soccer shoes, raingear, a light blanket, bedsheets and sun tan lotion.

Extended Day

The Extended Day School is for those campers who do not wish to reside overnight. Registration for Extended Day Campers will occur similar to the resident campers at 11am on Friday, and they will be expected to participate in the Friday afternoon and evening sessions. Lunch and Dinner will be provided on Friday and campers can be picked up is at 8:00 pm at the Ridley Athletic Complex ..On Saturday please report to breakfast between 7:30am and 8:30am in Newmann Towers on the main campus . Pick up on Saturday will be at 4:15pm at the Ridley Athletic Complex. Remember to bring a ball, or you may purchase an Adidas soccer ball at registration (cost $30.00).
